Through January 3: Holiday Village at Ellenton Premium Outlets
Experience the fun of a classic carnival with your grandkids! Join the festivities at the Holiday Village outside Ellenton Premium Outlets, where there will be carnival rides, games, food, and a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve. There will also be hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer throughout the carnival for added safety.
December 9-20: UTC Holiday Lights Show
Why not add a little magic to your holiday shopping? Every half hour between 6:30 and 9 PM, the Mall at University Town Center will host a dazzling light show outside on the East Grand Entrance (near Kona Grill and Urban Outfitters). In between shopping for gifts, make sure to head outside to enjoy the twinkling lights and merriment with family and friends.
December 11: Cookie Decorating With Santa
Indulge in sweet treats with your grandkids! Santa will make a visit to Wellspring Community Church to pose for photos and join in on the cookie decorating festivities. Reserve for a ticket for each of your grandkids and enjoy the fun of spreading holiday cheer while creating something delicious to take home.
December 12: Parrish Hometown Christmas
There’s nothing like enjoying cozy holiday fun with friends and neighbors. This cheerful, family-friendly event will include a breakfast with Santa from 10 AM to 12 PM, as well as food and drinks from the Subz n Grubz food truck, Kona ice, Christmas music and carolers, decorated trees, kids crafts, photos ops, and even a snow slide from 12 to 4 PM!
December 18: The Christmas Child - Virtual Painting
Curl up on the couch with a warm drink and a cozy blanket as you participate in a fun, creative virtual workshop hosted by Painting With a Twist. Show off your artistic side and get painting instructions via Zoom party! Once you register, you will pick up your paint kit and receive Zoom instructions so you can create your masterpiece. (BYO festive drinks and snacks!)
December 19: Sarasota Christmas Glow Run
Enjoy a workout surrounded by festive fun! From 6 to 8 PM, you can run or walk through the Christmas-themed course filled with decorations, music, and a spirited atmosphere the whole way. Complimentary glow products are included with registration! Plus, there may be a pretty snowfall waiting for you at the finish…
December 23: Merry at the Modern
Celebrate the season at the Sarasota Modern hotel from 4 to 7 PM, where holiday treats, themed drinks, and wine tastings will be enjoyed by all. There will also be live music, raffles, an ugly sweater contest, and a surprise visit from Santa for the little ones! Donate a toy or socks and a sweater for free admission.
December 31: New Year’s Eve at the Westin Sarasota
2021 is just ahead — celebrate the new year with a Titanic-themed bash aboard The Westin Sarasota Star Line! Dress up and enjoy a first-class, four-course dining experience with the finest wines along your travels. There will be live music and dancing, as well as a party on the upper deck with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and a DJ for the final countdown to 2021.
