December 4-11: 46th Annual Singing Christmas Tree
A staple of the holiday season in Sarasota, this spirited event is now celebrating its 46th year! Come out to see the spectacle of a 25-foot “singing tree” with over 130 singers accompanied by a live orchestra.
December 6: Family Movie Night
What better time to enjoy a cozy movie night than the holidays? Grab a few lawn chairs and blankets and take the little ones to The Point to watch The Santa Clause and enjoy crafts and holiday treats from vendors.
December 6: Holiday Night on St. Armand’s
Welcome the fun of the holidays with a kickoff event at everyone’s favorite town center. Indulge in your go-to shops and restaurants with a side of classic holiday entertainment and cheer.
December 7: Downtown Sarasota Holiday Parade
Since 1995, this beloved parade has welcomed visitors far and wide to Sarasota to celebrate the holiday season. Come by and marvel at thousands of holiday-themed floats, cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.
December 7: Jingle Jog 5k
Whether you like to run, jog, or walk, this event is for participants of all fitness levels. Take part in the 22nd annual event and help raise funds for The Haven, a non-profit that benefits children and adults with disabilities.
December 8: Jingle Paws Jubilee
There’s no greater gift during the holidays than a forever home for a furry friend... If you’re looking for a special cat or dog to care for, come down to this paw-fect event that’s filled with so much love (and a lot of fur)!
December 14-January 4: Lights in Bloom
Experience holiday magic like never before at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, which will transform into a “holiday paradise” with two million lights in the gardens and walkways turned into sensory light tunnels.
December 14: 34th Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights
A seasonal spectacle for all ages, come out to beautiful Marina Jack to experience the festive fun of this long-standing vessel parade. There will also be special menus and entertaining starting at 6 PM.
December 14: SantaFest and Holiday Gift Market
Do the little ones love saying hi to Santa Claus every year? Take them to their favorite mall to indulge in a day full of Christmas fun with face painting, bounce houses, gifts, and of course, Santa himself!
