Harvest the Love: Events in Sarasota This Fall

We may not get colorful leaves in our palm trees, but that doesn’t mean that Floridians don’t know how to celebrate fall… In fact, we think that pumpkin-spiced treats, spooky fun, and festive decor are even more enjoyable when experienced in the sun!

Now that the new season is inching closer, there’s no better time to venture outside and dive right into all of the autumnal activities around you! From family-friendly festivals to fan-favorite hot spots, there’s something waiting for you outside of your new home in Southwest Florida. Take a look at a few of our top picks for seasonal fun.

Fall Events in Sarasota 2019

Pumpkin Festival:

Every weekend in October, Fruitville Grove holds its annual family-friendly Pumpkin Festival, where visitors of all ages can enjoy fall-themed festivities like a petting zoo, live music, pie eating contests, costumes, hayrides, face painting, a wildflower maze, and so much more. Get ready for a full day of fall fun!

Hunsader Farms:

In beautiful Bradenton, this beloved community treasure is waiting with open arms for you and your grandchildren to enjoy all of their autumnal offerings! With a farm market, “U-Pick” produce, a playground, a petting zoo, and more, the little ones will absolutely fall in love with this beautiful season.

Sarasota Oktoberfest:

Nothing says fall quite like an outdoor festival... From October 18-20, JD Hamel Park will celebrate October’s most joyous holiday with delicious food, live music, and of course, your favorite beer! Head down with a group of friends and cheers to the most festive and fun time of the year.

Howl-O-Ween Movie Night Spooktacular:

What better way to soak up the sweetness of the season than by watching a movie outside? Surround yourself with the spirit of fall as you enjoy games, a costume parade, and a movie under the stars at Ed Smith Stadium. Bring a non-perishable food item for All Faiths Food Bank!

Spooktacular at Selby Gardens:

If you remember the fun of trick-or-treating when you were young, you’re going to love watching your grandchildren experience the magic for themselves. From 10 AM to 12 PM on October 27, Selby Gardens will offer pumpkin decorating, (appropriately) spooky fun, and of course, candy galore!

From all of us at Medallion Home, happy beginning of fall!
